At Jeffersontown Christian Church, all are welcome, regardless of your background or where you are on your faith journey. We strive to nurture the spiritual growth of individuals by empowering and equipping people with the freedom and tools to do meaningful ministry in our church, our community and beyond. Our faith centers around the communion table and we invite all who worship with us to celebrate at that table.
We have many groups and activities to help you learn and develop in many ways. There are structured programs like the Sunday School, Monday Morning Bible Study, and Wednesday night studies to educate, stimulate, and engage in great discussions. Our music ministries include the Chancel Choir and Kirkringers (bell choir) for those who seek to give and worship through music.
Service is an important part of who we are as a community of faith so we have many groups that dedicate their time, energy, and resources to helping others in many different ways– the Christian Women's Fellowship, Grateful Threads, and Young Adult Ministries, just to name a few.
We are also excited about our youth and children’s groups. Here at Jeffersontown Christian Church, children are an integral part of our church and worship. All of the children, from our pre-school choir to our high school youth group participate and even lead worship from time to time. They have many activities to get involved in the church – like the age specific Sunday school classes and Sunday afternoon activities – and outside the church with service projects in the community and across the region.
We love socializing and the communion table isn’t the only one we gather around. We have events like the ‘pairs and spares’ group, the out-to-lunch bunch, game nights, and holiday events that provide us the opportunity to spend time together and grow through fellowship. Please join us, we’d love to see you!
